2023 was an incredible year, one for the ages. I was fortunate enough to have my best year in this space ever, winning 5 NFBC leagues, and cashing in 2 more. I was also able to take down my ultimate White Whale, winning the RotoMasters 2 dynasty league with my great partner, Lou Landers. On top of league success, I was fortunate enough to launch my own fantasy baseball website to post various thoughts or articles. Additionally, I was invited to come onto a few podcasts this year, which was a massive honor. Last but not least, I became a Core Member of the Pull Hitter Patreon, a ridiculously successful group that won $1.8 Million in NFBC earnings, which was 40% of the prize pool. Remarkable!

When I first jumped into The NFBC, I was hoping to be able to grow and have success over time. Listening to the OGs Jeff Erickson and Scott Jenstad discuss it on the RotoWire Podcast made it seem so interesting and prestigious, which is absolutely true.
I never once thought I would win an overall title, as the odds are just infinitely stacked against you. I will break down that league in a later post, but it still feels surreal that I won an overall championship.

I was able to take down 3 of my Draft & Hold leagues, which is my favorite format to play given the need for strategy, depth, game theory, etc.

Looking Ahead
My next steps in my fantasy baseball journey are partially to just relax, breath and take the time to process what took place. I am not ready to jump into the draft lobby just yet, as I want to continue to do Post-Mortems on my rosters, create a set of robust rankings and review players, as well as take a break to preserve my sanity and avoid burnout.
